> cebas Powers 3D Stereo in Latest "Narnia" Epic

cebas Visual Technology Inc. and the visual effects house Pixel Magic have agreed to develop advanced software and workflows that are already being used for converting “Harry Potter” to 3D Stereo. The technology was successfully pioneered for the major studio epic “The Chronicles of Narnia – The Voyage of the Dawn Treader”.

Based on cooperation with Pixel Magic, cebas created new algorithms and software to simplify and accelerate 2D to 3D Stereo image conversion. The Pixel Magic proprietary, workflow, and the development from cebas, enabled a timely delivery of stereoscopic sequences for the most recent “Narnia” picture.

PRODUCTS

> MARI 1.2 Released

Now shipping MARI 1.2 adds Python integration, Texture Mirroring, a levels filter and improved GPU detection and support.

Python Integration:
MARI 1.2 adds support for Python 2.6.5, allowing users to produce scripts that seamlessly integrate MARI in to your workflow.

Texturing Mirroring:
Texture Mirroring is a small feature that can be useful when painting UV assets. Although it is not a real time symmetrical painting solution, it does allow symmetry to be achieved. Simple paint the right side then mirror to the left.

Levels Filter:
The Levels Filter changes in the colour levels in the paint, by setting the white point, midstone, and black.
