> The Foundry Announces 3vis as their Official Canadian Reseller

The Foundry is a world-leading innovator of visual effects and image processing technologies that boost productivity in motion picture and video post-production. The Foundry has a well-established client base that includes leading visual effects facilities worldwide, such as Warner Bros., The Moving Picture Company, Weta Digital, Framestore, Sony Pictures Imageworks and Digital Domain. The company holds two main products with Nuke, a high-end compositing system and soon-to-be released, Mari, a 3D texture painting application.

With points of sale in Montréal, Toronto and Vancouver, 3vis has now become the official reseller for The Foundry products in Canada. The Foundry is headquartered in London, and has offices in Los Angeles.

We are happy to announce that the new V-Ray 1.5 Service Pack 5 for 3ds Max is now available! The new build is fully compatible with 3ds Max 2011 and 3ds Max Design 2011 and includes new features as well as many modified and improved ones. A full list of additions and bug fixes can be found here.

> Free Nuke Tutorials Now Onlines

Over the last few months The Foundry have enlisted the help of industry professional Frank Rueter (Weta Digital, Digital Domain, www.ohufx.com) and renowned trainer, Steve Wright (www.swdfx.com), to assist our in house demo team in producing a comprehensive set of Nuke tutorials available FREE. Basic Workflows, General UI, Python, Keying and Colour Space are all covered in this series of more than 50 tutorials. We hope that you'll find them useful.
